2. HARYANA AGRO INDUSTRIES CORPORATION:

      Haryana Agro Industries Corporation was incorporated under the Indian Companies Act, 1956 in the year 1967
      with the main objective to undertake, assist, aid finance and promote agro industries, seed related activities and
      manufacture agriculture implements, agriculture machinery and other materials and equipments required for these
      industries Presently the corporation has been engaged in the following industries:-

Ø The corporation has been selling seed, fertilizer, pesticides, tractors and other agricultural machinery like diesel engines, electric motors, mono block pump sets, tyres /tubes, batteries, sprinkler sets and spray pumps etc. at economical prices to the farming community besides ensuring there genuineness through 17 farming service centers and 12 sales centers in the various districts of Haryana.

Ø It has one cattle feed manufacturing plant and one pesticides, Weedicides and Insecticide plant and one agriculture workshop

Ø The corporation is also an procurement agency for wheat, paddy and bajra as approved b the State Govt.

Ø It has constructed godowns for a total capacity of 55000 MT for storage of food grains.

Ø It has set up one Research & development center at Murthal for spawn / mushroom.

8. AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH AND EDUCATION :

                  The work of agricultural research and education is entrusted to the State Agricultural
                  University known as Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University. The following
                   initiatives have been identified to give new dimensions in the research and education :

Ø Development of cutting edge technology for natural resource management, SPS measures and bio-diversity conservation

Ø Human Resource Development & Management

Ø Development of viable crop production technology under brackish water and other a biotic stress conditions

Ø Development of technology for forecasting of weather, diseases and insect/pests

Ø Genetic improvement, conservation, management and nutritional requirements, feeding practices of Haryana cattle, Murrah Buffloes, Munjal sheep and Beetal/ Jakhrana goat’s production

9. THE HARYANA STATE COOPERATIVE AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT BANK LTD. :

                The main objective of the Bank is purveyance of Long Term Credit to the agriculturists through
                federal structure comprising Primary Agriculture and Rural Development Banks (PARDBs) at
                the Tehsil / Sub-Tehsil and District level, raising necessary resources from the State and Central
               Governments, refinance from the National level  Institutions and also to act as balancing centre for
               the surpluses of the PARDBs.

10. HARYANA LAND RECLAMATION & DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION LTD :

               The problem of alkaline soils was realized much earlier in the state of Haryana, as large chunks of
                land had become un-productive due to this menace so the reclamation of these lands had become
                imperative. For speedy implementation of the reclamation programme Haryana Land Reclamation &
                Development Corporation was incorporated on 27^th March, 1974. HLRDC was the first organization
                in the country to take up the Land Reclamation Programme in large scale.
